Grant from the Asheville Area Arts Council.
New this year, the festival is offering 2 site-specific
performances. These free-to-the-public performances include
Diana Shahein’s, “Essence of Creation,”
taking place Thursday 1/25 at 12:00pm, Friday and Saturday,
1/26 and 1/27 at 6:00pm, at the converted church/private
residence on Forsythe St. off of Broadway. This ritual performance
invites the audience to share the experience with a drum
and live music finale.
Dustin Spagnola & Kathy Meyers’ collaborative
installation/performance, “Fall,” will be ongoing
throughout the festival behind the Wedge building, 115 Roberts
St., in the River Arts District.
Cool Partnerships with NC Stage's Catalyst Series
The Fringe Arts Festival is also partnering with NC Stage
Company and The Redundant Theatre Company Theatre as they
present as part of their Catalyst series: Number 1 (With
a Bullet) The TRTCT Valentine’s show 2007. January
25-February 3 at North Carolina Stage Company (Catalyst
Series).

Also at NC
Stage Company, the Fringe is highlighting No Shame Theatre on
Saturday 27th. Arrive at 10:00pm to participate, 11:00pm to
watch, $5 to participate and watch. An open performance venue
for original and compelling works of theatre. Scripts arrive
up to an hour before show time. They’re cast, rehearsed, and
put on stage in front of a live audience an hour later. More
